Thanksgiving

Sunday is Thanksgiving, so the offices here will be closed on Monday. Did I just make any Americans check their calendar? For those of you not in the know, we here in Canada celebrate Thanksgiving a month earlier (I guess we just can’t wait any longer for that day off)! We still eat turkey and get together with our families though, so it’s not all that different. Feel free to send us e-mails and requests on Monday. We will get to them on Tuesday morning.
Black & Blue

On the plus side, since I`ll be in town, I`ll be attending the Black & Blue festival right here in Montreal! This is our second anniversary at the B&B and here at BuddyProfits, we`re proud to support the Bad Boy Club of Montreal who is organizing the festival.
The BBCM is a volunteer-based non-profit gay organization that provides financial support to groups providing direct care to people living with HIV/Aids and to gay & lesbian community groups.
I`ll be attending the festival along with our very own NextDoorMale models. We`ll be doing our part to promote safe sex by giving away condoms at the entrance.

This man is on a mission to be inked in the history of beating swimmer, Mark Spitz almost 40 years ago of having the most Olympic medals. He needs 3 more to do this and he will be one of the most decorated Olympians of all time!
Not to mention his hotness is just oozing and I’m not outing him, but I wish he is gay by all means because I can never get enough of that v-shaped, tight body that he has….the fact that he is talented is really just a bonus…;-)
He is the next big STAR ATHLETE to watch for.

Guess who’s turning 50??? Say what????

The Queen herself, her royal Madge-esty!
On Saturday, Louise Ciccone Ritchie, better known for her alter-ego, Madonna, will be turning 50 years old.
Although the celebrations this Saturday is postponed due to a mishap that caused her to sprain her left ankle, it doesn’t take away from the fact that the festivity is an exclusive event with only 50 people invited that Madonna has been very close with.
Rumors have it that there are some Malawi officials invited since they helped Madonna of her adoption and because Malawi has had a special place in her heart.
Guy Ritchie has planned a very traditional British fete that includes crates of genuine ales and a folk band to grace the occasion with music.
All these are going to transpire at a much later date but this Saturday, there will a small celebration in lieu of the big one.

It’s not only Madonna’s brother coming out with a book. On October 2008, Madonna will be releasing a “Photo Book†of over 250 four-color photographs that have been personally approved by Madonna herself. This book will display provocative themes of her live performances that only Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary had access and the only photographer allowed to take snapshots.
The best part is that all proceeds for this book will be donated to Raising Malawi; a project that Madonna has been actively involved in.

Summer Solstice

The Sun has always been the source of warmth and happiness that in Ancient times, the Sun was considered a God and was celebrated when it was at its peak; hence the Summer Solstice.
Solstice is derived from the Latin word sol (sun) sistere (stand still). It’s the longest day and the shortest night in the Northern Hemisphere and signifies the start of the summer season. It happens twice a year; when the Earth’s axis is directly towards or away from the sun.
For us folks who have long winter months, the Summer Solstice is greatly anticipated. Mark your calendars because June 21st is when all this happens.
